THE 2007 NORTH AMERICA YOUTH CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE HERE !

THIS IS AN OFFICIAL EVENT OF THE CONFEDERATION OF CHESS FOR AMERICA (CCA) AND THE WORLD CHESS FEDERATION (FIDE)

Date: October 5-7, 2007
Location: Aguascalientes, Mexico
Venue: Las Trojes Hotel

This event is open to players from Bermuda, Canada, United States of America and Mexico.

It is a 7 Rounds, Swiss System Tournament and includes the Under 10, 12, 14 & 16 Championships for Boys and Girls. This event was first held in Boca Raton, Florida in 2004.

Although the majority of the participants are from Mexico, the USA has 10 players competing in this event.

Most of our representatives are players under 12 yrs old.  This is very exciting as it shows a growing interest from our young players to participate in international events.

This coming November, the USA is sending a delegation of over 40 players to the World Youth Championship in Turkey !
