Thanks to an arrangement made by the U.S. Chess Trust’s Managing Director, Barbara DeMaro – Nicholas Nip (10 yrs old & current youngest US master) will be playing chess on ABC’s Live with Regis and Kelly show on Monday, April 21st. 9:00am.

A special thanks to Renee & Cross Generation Chess for their recommendation of some players to particpate.  Barbara would also like thank everyone who was helpful in her efforts to make this happen.

Day-Time television with Regis and Kellywhat a way to go! Her persistence has certainly paid off.  Don’t forget to watch !

This is a 10 board simul , diversified (all ethnic groups & ages) and includes a cadet from West Point.

The tables are already set up and throughout the show the cameras will be going back and forth to capture Nicholas impressive skills.

The games will take place where they usually have the bands/singers. One player is 95 years old!

This is very exciting news for Nicholas and the chess community!  Don’t forget to tune in!

ABOUT NICHOLAS NIP

On March 4, 2008, Nicholas Nip became the youngest USCF master in history.

Nicholas is a fourth grader whose favorite subjects are P.E. and math.  He was born and lives in San Francisco. His favorite book is My System and he says his favorite chess player in history is Jose Raul Capablanca.

Being a fantastic chess player is not Nicholas Nip’s only passion – he wants to be a rock star when he grows up!
